"My mother (an interior designer who has always had a profound love of flowers) taught me how to appreciate the vibrance and unique qualities of each petal. My father (a civil engineer) taught me structural building and overall symmetric values/proportions.
My business career began when I 16 years old, at an after-hour event space. This job entailed organizing major events and coordinating everything that they entail. After 3 years learning everything, I needed to know about event planning. I then moved on to the restaurant business. This is where I found my taste for event catering.
About 5 years later I moved to Manzanillo, where I became close friends with the owners' of a famous orchid nursery. Here I volunteered to do anything and everything so I could learn the magical art of exotic floral arrangements. From this stemmed an opportunity to become a distributer in the area of the Mexican Caribbean. This opened all the doors that I walked through to get to where I am today." ~ DV
"My very first job was at 17 at a non-luxurious fast food restaurant. I worked as a cashier but quickly moved on to managerial tasks. This is where I found the field of customer service. From here I branched out into managerial positions in larger restaurant franchises. This opened my eyes to a whole new industry which led me to study the beautiful art of culinary fusion.
In 2010 I arrived to the Mexican Caribbean, where I continued my culinary arts studies in one of the top universities in Mexico. I completed my studies and final internship at the Wine and Food Festival. Here I specialized in the design setup of different areas of the event. I landed my first official job as the sales manager of the top catering company of the Mexican Caribbean. In 2018, I chose to quit and extend my knowledge by moving to Europe for a year. Upon my return, I was offered many jobs in my area of expertise, yet I chose to take the one where I knew would be able to expand my knowledge even further. I was managing sales for a wedding venue located on the white sands of the Caribbean.
My work experience has made me a dynamic leader and formidable planner adept to produce highly complex, often multi-day events with a singular focus and skill. My love for logistics and hospitality, combined with my unique background, allows me to help clients create truly unforgettable events." ~ MH
"It all started with my grandmother. When I was little, she had the most beautiful garden. She was madly in love with the entire process of gardening. She had the dates they would bloom, when we should planet and even the dirt, we needed to use to ensure a thicker crop. In Puebla, where I am from, it is accustomed to have the local flowers outside your house. Plants have always played a huge part of my life. Because of this upbringing, decided what to do with my life, was straightforward. At 16 I started my journey in the working world. I exported jeans from a major manufacture in the area. I worked in the logistics and paperwork involved in the export process. This gave the skill to manage a business at a noticeably young age, but I knew this was not what I was destined to do.
I decided to work at my family’s greenhouse, where I gained an in-depth knowledge of the planting world. I still did not feel like I was reaching my full potential, at 25 I left everything I knew and moved to the Caribbean in search of new opportunities. I started working administration at a local flower shop where I found my final calling.
I would watch the florist put together the most beautiful arrangements and spent all my free time learning from her. This led me to take several courses in the art of floral arrangements with incredibly talented floral designers. When the time came that they needed a new florist, they did not have to search far. I was already equipped with everything I needed to become a floral designer. Within 2 years I was the main florist, training people below me and coordinating the floral arrangements for large events. I never stopped learning, I continue to expand my knowledge by studying courses, florists, and other companies. My grandmother made me realize that flowers are capable of transmitting emotions and sharing stories. " ~ GS
"I was born in the United States of America but grew up on the backstreets of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. At age 13 I was emerged into a diffirent culture and different country. Not knowing the language helped me develop different learning techniques. Graduated from the Limperts Academy of Arts back in 2009, with a degree in Interior Design and Arquitecture. Sadly after my studies I attempted to get a job and was unable to due to a 2 year minimum internship. Having paid for college myself, this was not something I could afford.
I went on to work PR in a local restaurant business. The owner at the time was aquiring a website from a development group in Miami, they were charging him more than he could pay. I offered to attempt to build a website for him. Without any prior knowledge or even a computer I spent that week understanding the basics of web development. That was 10 years ago.
I am a self taught web progammer and developer. I have spoken at many conferences about accomplishing your goals despite the circumstances. Since that first website, I have never looked for a client. I am grateful to be a part of Biename. Bringing design to every event." ~ WR
"I have always loved doing things with my hands. Since a noticeably young age I crafted my way through life. Which is why I decided to study “crafting” on a larger scale. I decided to study industrial design, focused on the packaging industry. I began working in my field in Mexico City, where I worked mainly with large companies as a consultant. I then chose to move to the Mexican Caribbean where I was flustered with a new type of industry, tourism.
I found myself a little lost in this industry, not sure where or how to apply my studies. I started offering romance consulting to smaller hotels such as holiday inn, fiesta inn and many others. I was invited by a friend to help in a wedding, where I met my future. After seeing the staging at a large scale, I realized I can build that.
That was 7 years ago, since then I worked on numerous weddings and realized that no one was interested in working on small weddings (2 – 50 people). So I did. Which is how I opened my company “Just for 2 wedding”, focusing on intimate weddings in natural venues.
With all my weddings comes sustainability and extra benefits such as decoration and setting. I never studied to be a wedding planner, but I became one out of love. This love has now spread to teaching others the same thing I was taught. With a hands-on technique, I happily teach others the art of coordination. " ~ LQ
